The Netviewer: Based on Peer-to-Peer Technology

How many times have you wished during a phone call that the person you are talking to could see the same things you do? For example, a certain document, the software settings, and so on. The Netviewer is a software tool with which you can show your screen to the person at the other end of the line in only a couple of seconds. Or you take a look at his screen. In both cases it is possible to edit the same document or to use the same application.



Introduction to the Netviewer

In the following picture you can see the steps to build up a connection:

Legend:
	The consultant and the customer are talking on the phone.
	The consultant starts the consultant software on his computer and enters a password. The program automatically notifies the operator server.
	The customer downloads the client program (200 kB) from the consultant´s website.
	On the phone, the consultant tells the customer the randomly generated 5-digit session-ID that will be entered by the customer when opening the client program.
	The operator server automatically communicates the IP address of the consultant´s PC to the client program.

Is There Any Safety Risk Using The Netviewer Software?

No! All transmitted data are encrypted. A special document format, in which the data are transmitted, ensures that the connections cannot be abused

2.	As soon as the REALTECH consultant asks you to do so, click on the link at the bottom of this website.

3.	The Netviewer will now start on your computer. Now, you need to enter the connection number your consultant gave you on the phone.
