- To update NetworkManager version 5.1, simply install Service Pack 2.0 for NetworkManager 5.2.
- To update a NetworkManager version older than 5.1, aktualisieren wollen, you have to execute the complete NetworkManager 5.2 setup.
Please save your data, before you start updating! REALTECH can not bear any guarantee if data are lost! After installation the old databases are automatically imported, respectively upgraded
Note: For further informations about installation see installation instructions.
Known problems:
- Common:
- Because no new licensing is necessary for version 5.1, LicenseServer still shows 5.1 .
- Topology manager: Topology problems with trunks and VLAN configurations (vendor-related). Extensions and enhancements are planned with future service packs within version 5.2.
- Topology Manager: Topology at routing over the same interface does not work.
- The known problem in Windows 2000, regarding the window control, still exists.
- Large amounts of events respectively traps can overload the system. to avoid this special configurations (pre-filters) can be set at the trap server
- Huge databases:
- At a large amount of agents, potentially the application of SQL server databases, respectively the distribution of database server to some locations or departments may be necessary.
- For further information see system concept, respectively the installation documents.
- System requirements:
