Known problems

  • Common:
    • An ample measure of events or traps may overload the system. Prefilter can avoid this problem.
  • Huge databases:
    • When using lots of Agents: SQL-Server databases and distributed database servers are recommended. See Multi Site Edition.
  • Update of a distributed installation:
    • After the update of a distributed installation (e. g. NetworkManager and Servicecenter/ServiceDesk on two computers with a common database or at a separate computer with Microsoft SQL Server including reporting) local Database Server configurations refer to the same database. Thus it is impossible to start theGuard! Service Management Center until the settings are adjusted with the Database Administrator tool on each involved system.
