How to install theGuard!® NetworkManager PSM- and MIB Service Packs

Common:

• PSM- and MIB service packs contain extensions and enhancements for the product-spezific modules (PSMs), the related applications and the class database.
• PSM- and MIB service packs have to be downloaded and installed always together to actualize your theGuard!® NetworkManager installation.
• PSM- and MIB service packs are ZIP-archive files with the ending ".spf". "spf" stands for "Service Pack File".
• If your browser adds a ".zip" ending to the filename while downloading, you have to delete this by hand.
  

  Example version 6.x:
  Right:	MIB.spf	or	PSM.spf
  Wrong:	MIB.spf.zip	or	PSM.spf.zip

Installation:

1. Copy the files to your theGuard!® NetworkManager system, in a folder of your choice.
2. Terminate all theGuard!® NetworkManager applications.
3. Select "Program files | REALTECH | theGuard! NetworkManager 6.x | Service Pack Installer" in the start menu.
4. Activate the check box "Install downloaded Service Pack" in the lower area of the window and enter the path of the folder in which you have prior copied the two files.
5. Confirm with OK.
6. Click on the tab "MIB Selection" und select the radio button "Compile all MIBs" in the left lower area of the window.
7. Afterwards click on the button "Install" or press "F2" key.
8. Depending on the number of PSM- and MIB files which have to be installed and the performance of your system, the installation can take some time.
9. Confirm the following windows.
10. Terminate the PSM Setup, after the installation has finished.
11. Restart the theGuard!® NetworkManager applications.

Note: In order to download the current theGuard!® NetworkManager PSM- and MIB Service Packs, you have to enter a username and a password first. Only customers, having concluded a software service contract, are in possession of these account informations.
